The Father's Day Walk/Run for Prostate Cancer

Below is Important Changes for 2009 for the Father's Day Walk/Run for Prostate Cancer (Do it for DAD) - PLEASE READ!!

>>> THURSDAY, JUNE 18TH is the NEW DEADLINE for Getting in Your Donations In to be Eligible for a Top Collector Prizes!

There will be special awards for the Top Pledge Collectors. All prizes will be awarded based on all online and off line donations turned in by Thursday, June 18th, at 4:00pm.

>>> NEW TEAM REGISTRATION DEADLINE FOR TEAM NAME SCREENING ON THE BACK OF YOUR T-SHIRTS!

In order to have your team name screeened on the back of your t-shirts, you must register by Friday, May 29th!

Friday, June 19th, 4:30pm - 6:30pm - Running Room - 1008 Douglas Street, Victoria
Saturday, June 20th, 12pm - 4pm at The Prostate Centre, #100, 1900 Richmond Road, Victoria
Sunday, June 21st, 8:00am - 9:00am at Royal Roads University.

We are extending online registration to Saturday, June 20th at 12:oopm. Online registrations will close at noon. If you are wanting to register after that you will need to register at package pickup at the Prostate Centre of on event day at Royal Roads.

If you would like a tax receipt for your donation, please make sure ALL REQUESTED INFORMATION, INCLUDING AN EMAIL ADDRESS, IS COMPLETE AND LEGIBLE. We will not mail out receipts with incomplete donor information. If you don't know your donor's email address then PLEASE PUT YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS.

NO EMAIL ADDRESS = NO TAX RECEIPT!

>>> AWARDS/PRIZE CEREMONY

There will be major changes to the awards ceremony for 2009. The awards ceremony has been too long in the past. In order to shorten the time it takes to do the Awards/Prize Ceremony, we will ONLY be awarding the following at the Awards/Prize Ceremony:

Top Collector awards will be given out to those individuals and teams that raised the most money in support of prostate cancer
The top three male and female finishers OVERALL for the 8km, will be presented an award
Four larger draw prizes will be given out. Everyone participants name will be entered for these draw prizes.

NOT DONE AT THE AWARDS/PRIZE CEREMONY! BUT AT A BOOTH/TABLE:

Draw prizes - we will draw names for prizes and have them on a sheet at a table at the event. If you won a draw prize you can pick them up at the completion of your 3km or 8km walk/run. Your name will also go in to the draw box for the Four Large Draw Prizes that we will do at the Awards/Prize Ceremony.
Awards for the 8km run will also be at a table. The only exception is for the top 3 males and females overall which will be done at the Awards/Prize ceremony. The awards will be available as soon as we have all the results in from the timers.

The awards ceremony begins at approximately 11:30 am.
